Bioplastics

Stanelco Bioplastic is manufactured by its 50% owned subsidiary Biotec GMbH at Emmerich in Germany.

Stanelco's partner in bioplastic is Sphere S.A. of Paris, France, they also own 50% of Biotec GMbH.

The group are developing and producing a new generation of completely biodegradable and compostable bioplastic materials, based on renewable raw materials such as potato and corn starch.

The Biotec expertise lies in knowing how to manufacture, blend and modify polymers to create special compounds, blends, concentrates and master batches.

All materials and products are functional, ecologically beneficial and of high quality. Bioplast not only provides substitutes for "traditional" synthetic and petrochemical products, but creates endless possibilities for the development of new products with properties which commonly used plastics cannot match.

Biotec is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2004. This certification is audited by an independent certification agency annually.
